About this Nevada declaration of homestead

In Nevada, the homestead exemption protects a large amount of equity in your primary residence from most creditors (the current amount is set by NRS 115.010). Unlike some states, Nevada’s protection generally requires a recorded declaration of homestead. NOTICE (NRS 115.020): A declaration of homestead may be recorded in the county where the property is located without paying any fee other than the County Recorder’s recording fee, and you may record the declaration of homestead on your own behalf. Ask the County Recorder for the current recording fee.

Serving Nevada. Appointments must be handled by Nevada-commissioned notaries.
